[EBB Sightings] Twitterpatted Scrub Jay

On California St. in Oakland nr 35th, a pair of scrub
jays in courting ritual. Male was sweeping his wings
on the ground while walking in half circles
approaching the female. Very insistent, typical of
similar mating rituals observed in night clubs and
beaches.  Female rejected the initial mounting advance
- playing hard to get no doubt since she followed him
when he flew up to a nearby fence.


I left the two lovebirds to their day.
