    Doug,

As per the Birds of North America (BNA) account, the Peregrine Falcon
(PEFA) has one nesting per year, unless there is an egg-loss event, in
which case they'd re-nest. A clutch of 3 is a bit on the low side for
midlatitudes; but consider the San Francisco PG&E bldg. clutch of 4,
together they're closer to the mean.

For more local info, get in touch with the Santa Cruz Predatory Bird
Research Group. This nesting may involve "their" birds. Contact info at
    www.scpbrg.org.
