    We spent an hour today between 11 and noon watching the peregrine =
    falcons previously reported by Ted at Castle Rock park in Walnut Creek. =
    We observed four falcons at one time sitting at various places on the =
    top of the ridges. At least two appeared to be fledglings and were =
    attempting short distance flights and landings. For a long time, one of =
    the falcons was staying inside of a small recess directly above the =
    square cave Ted mentioned. This one had more distinctive white markings =
    an may have ben an adult. We also observed one falcon flying with prey =
    possible a small bird in its talons.=20

    Two great horned owls were visible in the owl nest mentioned by Ted. One =
    of them stayed in sight the entire time while the other was visible =
    intermittently.=20

    I would highly recommend visitng this spot. The only further =
    clarification on directions would be to stay on the Stage Trail all the =
    way to the grassy spot after the two stream crossings.

    Thank you Ted for this great spot.
