The saturday GGAS trip to the Hayward Shoreline was rated by many as "the best bird trip I've ever been on". Thank you Peter Dramer for facilitating this trip and thanks to Shiela for her support as well. Thank you Susan Groves and Ruth from the GGAS for participating. I must return the complement in ernest and thank all of you who attended for your participation. We (actually mosty I) had hoped for Black Tern and nesting Skimmer, neither of which were present. We had brilliant views of Eared Grebed with chicks and many others. Not all known nesting birds are called out in the list due to lack of field observation, but the species list itself is complete.
