It's been about a month since I checked on it, but we found a pair of coop's
building a nest in a tall deciduous tree at Black Diamond mines. As you walk
up the path from the north parking lot, there is a grassy hill on the left.
If you climb this hill and look due south into those trees, you'll find the
nest about halfway down. Should still be on eggs or chicks. I'm new to this
area, so I'm not sure of the species of tree (eucalyptus?). The hill
provides a good view and the birds did not seem too disturbed, but please
respect them if they do get nervous.
