    Dear List Serve Members,
    
    The Mt. Diablo Audubon Chapter is issuing its once-a-year request for=20
    support.  We only ask once each year so we can minimize the time and=20
    resources we spend fundraising.  Our important community programs and=20
    goals in 2004-2005 include:
    
    =95  Further enhancement of the native vegetation at McNabney Marsh at=20=
    
    Waterbird Park in partnership with Mt. View Sanitary District and East=20=
    
    Bay Regional Park District.  Establishment of monthly bird walks for=20
    families at McNabney Marsh and Waterbird Park.
    
    =95  Continued participation in restoration projects in Heather Farm =
    Park=20
    in Walnut Creek and nesting bird protection at the Martinez Shoreline.
    
    =95  Expansion of our environmental outreach and activities.
    
    =95  Further development of the EBB Sightings List Serve and of the MDAS=20=
    
    website for education, communication, and membership growth.
    
    =95  Continued expansion of our school-based educational programs and=20
    outreach.
    
    =95  Fifty-two field trips, ten monthly educational meetings and ten=20
    issues of The Quail.
    
    =95  Two Contra Costa County Christmas Bird Counts and the Contra Costa=20=
    
    County Breeding Bird Atlas compilation and pre-publication planning=20
    (coming soon!).
    
    Please help us to fund our local programs and to increase the number of=20=
    
    people we educate and serve.  The continued success of these fine=20
    programs is assured by your support and your tax-deductible donations.
