A beautiful morning along the Orinda Connector Trail. Several friends and I
saw TOWNSEND'S WARBLER, BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER, WESTERN BLUEBIRD, ACORN
WOODPECKER, and at least 35 WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS, mostly juveniles, in
addition to about 22 other species, including Sharp-shinned, Red-shouldered, and
    Red-tailed Hawks.

The Townsend's was seen in the Oregon Ash before the bridge. The
Black-throated Blue was in the trees at the base of the pines near the EBMUD corporate
yard and the Western Bluebirds were on the ground and fences in the same area.

To get to the Orinda Connector Trail, take Camino Pablo toward San Pablo Dam
Rd. Turn right at Bear Creek Rd and park immediately in the gravel parking
area on the left. This is EBMUD property and requires a permit.
