Hello birders:

The first White Crowned Sparrow arrived to the garden today. Early for me 
this year, as last year I noticed them on Oct. 1 st. last year. I host a large 
flock of White Crowned and golden Crowned each year. There is a flock of about 
15 to 20 Bluebirds in the Flood Control Basin off Castle Rock Road in Walnut 
Creek as of yesterday morning. They are eating berries off the trees along the 
fence. The numbers are growing with the boxes in the Walnut Creek Open Space!! 
:)
