    Greetings Hugh,

I picked up on your Cliff Swallow sighting (see below), to report that this
year's Cliff Swallows first returned to Chabot College in Hayward on
Saturday, 6 March 2010. This is a colony of ca.1,200 nesting pairs. Our eighth
annual Return of the Swallows Festival to Chabot College will be in Earthweek
on Tuesday, 20 April 2010; in the Cezar C. Chavez Plaza. All displays and
visiting service organizations will be available to the public from 10:30 am
to 1:30 pm. At Noon we award the prizes for our Art and Literature
contests, with music and commentaries. The visitors receive the free 50 page
booklet on Swallows plus other goodies. Field trips with a Swallow theme are
scheduled for the prior weekend, Sat., 17 Apr. (Lake Elizabeth) ; and Sun., 18
    April - see Web Site: < http://ohloneaudubon.org/ >.
