[EBB Sightings] Bird Notes from Walnut Creek

Sunday afternoon my Dad called to tell me they had tenants in their front 
yard.  Seems an OakTitmouse pair first inspected, then decided they liked 
the bird house hanging in his front yard on San Miguel Drive.

On Sunday, too, I was alerted to and later saw a male Common Merganser on 
the large, mostly natural, pond in Heather Farm Park.  It was still present 
Monday.

Monday afternoon a continuing Merlin was seen in the pine tree with no 
needles north of Heather Farm Park and the Contra Costa Canal.  This bird 
has been seen on and off most of the winter.
