    Out to Arrowhead today. The high tide less but still flushing 5 Soras and two or three Clappers. For a time, 5 Least Terns circled and hunted. 
    
    The pier was populated in majority by Godwits instead of Willets. At one point their great numbers reached within ten feet of the bridge rail.
    
    Far off, on the end of the pier, a Brown Pelican loafed. It was in breeding plumage. It eventually preened, stretched, and finally left.
