[EBB Sightings] Snow goose, Allen's hummingbird - Lake Elizabeth, Fremont

Mid-day today at Lake Elizabeth in Fremont, a snow goose continues with the Canada geese?on New Marsh and on the soccer lawns.?

One cackling goose remains at the lake with a broken wing.? Ducks not commonly seen on the lake included 12 canvasbacks, 2 American wigeons and a female common merganser.? I counted 40 (!) black-crowned night herons on Duck Island.? Tree swallows, a Say's phoebe and the loggerhead shrike were also at New Marsh.? A buzzing Allen's hummingbird, the first I've seen this year, was in a eucalyptus near a picnic area on the south side of the lake.
