Hi, Last Friday (1/29) my dogs forced me to go for a walk in Lime
Ridge-Concord where I had the privilege of observing several Western
Bluebirds, my favorite bird. Next I saw what I believe to be a Golden Eagle
cruising around and along the ridge. He was solitary and cruising along
flapping his wings for a few beats and then flying smooth.

I enter Lime Ridge from Via Montanas past the off leash dog park, up the
hill to the end of the road and park in the turn around. There is a big
field if one walks to the east. I have been told that they are trying to
attract raptors to the area to help control the gopher/ground squirrel
population. Someone installed several tall perches throughout the area for
the birds to scope out the area. I would be interested if anyone knows more
    information on the study.
