    Hi all:

High tide at Arrowhead was as high as I've seen it in many years. There was no marsh. I wish I'd arrived two hours earlier to watch it disappear. Just swimming Clapper Rails and swimming Sora.

Last month I took a group to find the Tufted Duck at Lake Merritt and came up empty-handed. This month it took me about 35 seconds to find it in the east corner next to the fountain. Birder's remorse / Birder's luck. Showing beautifully with full shaggy tuft.

I felt it imperative that I check out the new Aquatic Park south pond fence in Berkeley. Fine job. My efforts yielded Yellow-rumped Warblers.

    Good birding,
