    Hi Birders-

I went to Sunol RP hoping that the White-throated Sparrow reported Feb 15
would still be around. There were no sparrows between the interpretive
center and the bridge, but I detected some Golden-crowneds along the side
road that goes down to a horse and vehicle creek crossing. All the
Golden-crowneds flew off across the creek, but one small rusty-colored bird
flew into an oak just off the road. I was pretty sure it was what I was
looking for and after a minute I located it in the tree. It was a
tan-striped White-throated Sparrow. Across the park road at the corral there
were at least two Chipping Sparrows in with a large feeding flock of
    American Robins and Mourning Doves.
