At around 2 PM this afternoon the FERRUGINOUS HAWK continued in Fremont in the field west of the industrial park on Nobel Dr. The bird was on its favored perch on the white NWR sign far across the field. It later flew south and looked as though it was hunting. I met two other birders this afternoon who had seen the bird before I arrived and also saw it after it landed in the field, but we all lost the view of it at that point.

There are a lot of raptors in that area. Also present were RED-TAILED HAWKS, a COOPER'S HAWK, KESTRELS, LOGGERHEAD SHRIKES, NORTHERN HARRIERS, and a GOLDEN EAGLE.

    Good Christmas Birding!
