[EBB Sightings] East Alameda County CBC Scouting 12/16 and 12/17/2009

I am leading sections 5 and 6 of the East Alameda County CBC on Friday
12/18/2009.

On Wednesday, 12/16/2009, I counted 54 Canada Geese, 1 Long-billed Curlew, 1
Great Egret, 1 Great Blue Heron, 1 Say's Phoebe, and one Red-Shouldered Hawk
in the field along Croak Road (off of Fallon Road and I-580).

Today, Thursday, 12/17/2009, I counted 5 Canada Geese and 18 Wild Turkeys in
the plowed field east of Staples Ranch along El Charro Road.

Today, Thursday, 12/17/2009, I spotted a hovering White-tailed Kite at the
Fish Ladders off El Charro Road.

Today, Thursday, 12/17/2009, there was one Cooper's Hawk on a light pole at
the Park 'N Ride Lot on Portola Ave.

Be on the look-out for 3 French Hens, 2 Turtle Doves, and a Partridge in a
Pear Tree.  All three would be lifers for me.
