This morning around 8:15AM there was a flock of 300-400 Band-tailed Pigeon
feeding in the oaks at the west end of the bridge. I can count on one hand
the number of Band-tailed Pigeon sightings I've had at the lake over the
years, today beat all. The entire flock got up when I exited my car and flew
    over the bridge, very impressive.
Also the Red-naped Sapsucker continues, this morning in the oak grove under
the east end of the bridge.
The water level has dropped considerable over the past week providing great
viewing of the many birds that concentrate along the south shore.
    Good birding.
