I heard a sweet gurgling, bubbling song from the brush along the Bear Creek
trail in Orinda (Bear Creek Road east of Camino Pablo) a few days ago, and
assumed it was a stellar jay--I have been fooled before!

For once, I followed my ears with my eyes and actually caught sight of the
bird in my binocs. The curved beak and eye stripe was amazing! I have never
spotted a Trasher before, but the beak is unmistakable.
