4 PM this afternoon, I saw a peregrine flying in the vicinity of Newell 
and South Main St in downtown Walnut Creek. It circled and then briefly 
landed near the roof of the large white building opposite Kaiser Hospital. 

Perhaps it was attracted to the semi-annual sale at Nordstrom's.
