[EBB Sightings] Two Green Herons at Lake Merritt

A juvie on the island under the pampas grass, and a full adult... 
sitting on the rim of the lake beside the footpath and near the 
playground... ignoring the joggers passing by for several minutes. Took 
awhile to believe what we were seeing, that did.

And the kingfisher.

And a Red-tailed Hawk, a Cooper's Hawk, and a Peregrine.

And more egrets of both varieties than I've seen at the lake in years.

No Barrow's Goldeneyes, though - I think they've moved down to 12th St. 
or the channel.
