This morning's Golden Gate Audubon field trip was delighted to see at least 5 golden-crowned kinglets working the trees near the paved driveway that leads up behind the?visitor's center. We saw several ruby-crowned kinglets during the morning, as well as several western bluebirds at the Quarry parking lot. The rock wren cooperated for good viewing on the rocky hillside between the two parking lots. At least three hermit thrushes were sighted in the butterfly garden.

We didn't see the merlin, golden eagle, blue gray gnatcatcher, blue-winged teal nor any pectoral sandpipers.

North Marsh was ducky; Hoot Hollow was quiet. The sky was full of white pelicans (200) putting on a spectacular show at one point.

Some of the 18 participants have asked for a full list. I will investigate whether GGAS posts the list and if not, will post the whole thing here.

    Good Birding!
