This week the White-crowned Sparrows and Yellow-rumped Warblers returned to
Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek. Yellow Warblers are still around various
areas of the park. They have fairly strong chips. 16 Killdeers were on the
    north ball field.

Slightly to the north, we continue to see the Juncos coming to our patio,
the fledglings no longer are requiring parents to feed them. We have not
seen the California Towhees for maybe 4 days. They had been collecting our
morning mealworms to feed a fledgling out in front of our house. It was
never brought into our patio, but kept in the bushes or trees nearby.
Rosita saw it along the sidewalk once, with its very short tail. I finally
saw it high in one of the trees, nearly hidden by the leaves.
