[EBB Sightings] Little Blue Heron in Niles

At 7:30 this morning, Nancy Christensen had the little blue heron at the end of I St. in Niles.? With much appreciation to her for the heads-up, on about my 5th of 6th try for the bird over the past week I finally saw it this morning at about 9:15 on the river just down from Niles Community Park.? The bird immediately saw binoculars?and flew northeast along the river.? I gave chase and re-found it from the end of Chase St. where it was on the south side of the river near three American white pelicans.? It gave me a break and flew to my side, close enough for me to get a good look.? It was still there when I left at 9:25.
