[EBB Sightings] Little Blue Heron continues

Hi Birders-

It took a while, but I refound the Little Blue Heron that was seen yesterday 
on Alameda Creek. I started at Niles Community Park around 10am and walked 
to the deflated inflatable dam meeting Stephanie Floyd along the way. No LBH 
seen. Then I walked all the way downstream to the Isherwood parking area, 
running into Ed Debellevue. We walked downstream some more, still no LBH. We 
drove back to the Old Canyon parking area in Niles east of Mission Blvd and 
walked downstream past the deflated dam, first on the south side, then the 
north. Finally, the Little Blue Heron flew by and landed in the mostly dry 
creekbed at the end of L street at around 1:30pm. Paul and Nancy Shorr, who 
had spotted the bird a few minutes earlier from downstream, arrived and set 
up their scope. Also seen while walking an estimated four miles were four 
Spotted Sandpipers, a few Greater Yellowlegs and Common Mergansers, a Belted 
Kingfisher, and an Osprey.
