[EBB Sightings] Ending the day with thrushes

Dear Birders:

The last two hot days I've ended the day with a walk to Jewel Lake where in the canyon, the temperature is ten degrees cooler than on my hill.  I arrive just before sunset.  I know of no other local spot so favored by Swainson's Thrushes.  And like most thrushes, they continue to sing well into twilight.  With at least a half dozen singers, songs come from the thickets on both sides of the road.
