This morning we revisited Contra Loma Regional Park and counted six
Burrowing Owlets, up from the four that we had observed and reported
yesterday. Both adults were present and occasionally brought food to
the babies which were at or near the two burrows that appear to be
connected. Whenever that occurred the owlets quickly waddled to the
adult, their gait reminding us of baby penguins.

Other sightings included families of Western Bluebirds ( a good sign
that they are using the nest boxes), Bullock's Oriole, American
Kestrel and White-tailed Kite. We also observed a Great Egret catch
    and eat a dragonfly.

    Good Birding,
