[EBB Sightings] Murres in Richmond -- too close for comfort

We were out cycling along the Bay Trail, between the dog park off Point Isabel and the split in the trail at (?) Meeker Slough today.

We saw two Common Murres, including one that hauled out about two feet away from where I was sitting.  To my mind, that's too little distance between a wild bird and a human.  I got up and gave the bird his space.
