I spent just over an hour this morning in the grasslands of the segment
of the Old Moraga Ranch Trail above St. Mary's College in Moraga. There
were at least 8 singing Grasshopper Sparrows along with several Lazuli
Buntings and Rufous-crowned Sparrows. This bit of trail is hard to
find, hard to follow, and very overgrown, so although the Grasshopper
Sparrows are easy looking for them elsewhere is probably more advisable.

Also near the Valle Vista staging area just south of Moraga, there was a
male Cinnamon Teal on the shore of Upper San Leandro Reservoir at the
turn-around spot just past the horse corral, the first time I've seen
    that species at the lake.
