    All,

I led my Palo Alto Adult School birding class to Sunol Regional
    Wilderness this morning.

Highlights were many, but a few stand outs were:

At least 5 NASHVILLE WARBLERS in the vicinity of the pedestrian
bridge by the visitors center. YELLOW WARBLER in the same area, as
well as several quarrelsome CASSIN'S VIREOS.

WESTERN WOOD PEWEE and OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER on the Indian Joe Trail

YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT on the hillside above Alameda Creek (cross the
foot bridge and turn left to follow the creek until the the trail
ends at a gate by a big rock. The bird was first found by Kenneth
Petersen on the slope to the right of the trail and then seen by
everyone before it retreated up hill.)

Many CHIPPING SPARROWS and LAZULI BUNTINGS near the Corral along Camp
    Ohlone Road.

RUFOUS-CROWNED SPARROW pair in the chaparral on Canyon View Trail.

Petersen also spotted a lone LEWIS'S WOODPECKER on the coniferous
    slopes above Canyon View Trail.

I'll be posting a report tomorrow, which should include a few pictures.

    .. . .
