Yesterday (3/31) during my birding class, one of my students spotted a male
EUWI. Since we had 3 excellent scopes in our small group, we all got to see
it. The EUWI was in the ponding area between the Visitor Center parking lot &
the Chochenyo Trail. There was a WISN near the Tree Swallow boxes on the
Dust Trail. The TRSW were investingating the nest boxes. The Great Horned Owl
was easily visible on her nest in Hoot Hollow. A female Northern Harrier was
    harrassing a Red-tailed Hawk
and finally drove it away from its territory. The Marsh Wrens and Song
Sparrows were singing their hearts out atop cattails on the Chochenyo Trail. We
all got good views of male Yellowthroats along the Chochenyo Trail. We had a
    singing Wilson's Warbler, a male Allen's Hummer, and a male Bullock's Oriole
in front of the Visitors' Center. There were still some Buffleheads in the
Lizard Rock Pond. The migrating Painted Lady butterflies were everywhere.
