    Hi EBBers,

An interesting consequence of the restoration currently underway at the NE
corner of the "Meadow" at the Berkeley Marina is open dirt with vernal
pools. This has attracted nearby shorebirds and yesterday around noon I
noticed six species (Semipalmated Sandpiper - 102, Killdeer - 8, Greater
    Yellowlegs - 1, Dunlin - 1, Western Sandpiper - 1, and Least Sandpiper -
    50).

There were 7 Surfbirds roosting with other shorebirds near the large outflow
pipe in the rip rap just south of Emery Point.

    Good birding,
