We had a great time visiting Mt. View Sanitary and the adjacent McNabney
Marsh. We ate lunch at Martinez Regional shoreline and added a few more
birds to our total of more than 60 species. A highlight for many was the
immature Golden Eagle flying high over the Shell refinery and adjacent
marshes, but probably a better sighting was the Prairie Falcon which flew
north, crossed the freeway and eventually was chased by a gull, both of them
very high and far away by then.

Seven Cackling Geese were on the lawn at the shoreline picnic area at the
foot of N. Court Street (it is Ferry Street when it crosses the railroad
    tracks at the old depot).
