[EBB Sightings] Hayward Shoreline (02/9)

Seen at the shoreline today -

Northern Fulmar - 1 seen over the bay near the mouth of Sulfer Creek. This is the second one I have seen at the shoreline. However, I also saw 1 nearby at the San Leandro Marina last year.

Greater White-fronted Geese - 3 on the Radio Tower Hills.

Cackling Geese - 340 on the Radio Tower Hills. Most were Aluetian Geese including the Aluetian Goose with the blue neck collar and white lettering of '16J'.

Snow Geese - 2 on the Radio Tower Hills.

Long-tailed Duck - 1 seen over the bay from Hayward's Landing.

Ruddy Duck - 1 with a white head at the San Leandro Marina.

Common Merganser - 2 (1 male, 1 female) seen in San Lorenzo Creek.

Merlin - 2 seen near San Lorenzo Creek.

Surfbird - 9, 7 in the pond between San Lorenzo Creek and Ora Loma Sewage Treatment Plant, 2 at the San Leandro Marina.
