Thanks to all that responded to my post regarding bird feed prices and  
their favorite places to buy seed.

Not surprising, but Target and Walmart seem to have bargain seed.   
Alamo Hay and Grain is a favorite and also has some good deals and  
East Bay Nature in Walnut Creek is well liked.

I might add that Costco's unsalted peanuts (the blue bag) seem to be  
the cheapest "in the shell" peanuts around and the woodpeckers and  
jays love them.
