Having left for work before sun up and returning home after dark all last
week, I was unable to make any observations. Early yesterday morning I
filled the feeders and watched for it. I looked in the front and back yards
throughout the day...no luck. There are about half the number of
White-crowns there were last week and on a more ominous note, about 4:15
yesterday afternoon a Cooper's Hawk made a stealthy appearance on the back
fence about 4 feet from the feeder, took a quick look around and made a pass
at some White-crowns. I hoped the CCSP had decided to move on and hadn't
    ended up a snack.

At about 11:00 today, I glanced out the window at a bunch of birds foraging
below the front yard feeder. The usual crowd was there...White-crowns,
House Finches, House Sparrows and Mourning Doves...and sure enough, among
    them was the CCSP.
