I had a Red-breasted Sapsucker (RBSA) this morning from
9:15am to 9:30am working on two young oak trees outside my
fence. I live near Garin Park in Hayward.

I took pictures of this bird and uploaded them to Flickr.

I used the max zoom and was 25'+ away from the bird, so don't
expect too much but you can see the main features of the bird.

I have seen a sapsucker worked on the same trees ~6 weeks ago
for 3 or 4 minutes and was gone when I returned with my camera.

This morning's sighting is the second time a sapsucker works on
those same trees. I don't know if it will come back, I don't
bird my yard same time each morning.

Usually, I only have crowned sparrows in the yard, the recent
highlights were a pair of Lincoln's Sparrows and the occasional
visits by a group of three Northern Flickers.

I suspect this RBSA hangs around in Garin Park.
