This morning between 10:10-10:35 AM, Judith Dunham and I found the well-reported Louisiana Waterthrush in the NE corner of the south pond in Aquatic Park. We walked in at the corner, turned left on the short path, and sat under the willows. After about 25 minutes, it appeared from the south and gave us about a 5-second look. Though not long, the bird sat still and was easily identified. It disappeared into the tangled roots along the pond's edge and was not seen again. During the time that we waited, we didn't hear it calling and were just about to move when it showed up.

As a bonus, there was a Virginia Rail in the same spot that both of us were able to watch for about 20 seconds.
