I have been driving across the Dumbarton lately to see my dad in Berkeley.
In the north east corner there are occasionally a flock of American White
Pelicans -- today there were about 25 flying low. The other day, Dec. 19,
there were maybe 50 in a feeding frenzy with 30+ Forster's Terns and 25+
Snowy and Great Egrets (all all-white affair). Then other days there are
zero birds or perhaps a few egrets.

In Berkeley, passed 1 Wild Turkey below the Lawrence Hall of Science -- Dec
    19 there were about 10.
And today in the Berkeley hills, I heard Red-breasted Nuthatches, which are
probably fairly common. They were on the corner of Grizzly Peak near
    Stevenson.
