    Bob,

I was with Jim when we called in that sighting. Could you please post
the following as a response to your posting as my postings get bounced
    by EBB.

    Thanks

    Derek

    Posting:

Jim Chiropolos and I biked from Lake Merritt down to Coyote Hills and
then up Alameda Creek to the Union City Bart station for the ride home.
We saw a total of 89 species, the most interesting being the Sage
Thrasher which Jim had properly identified but was a little shy to call
on the Birdbox because of the unusual location. He had first seen the
bird on Friday at the same location.

    Other highlights of our ride:

    Tufted Duck at Lake Merritt
2 Wilson's Snipes at Garretson Point
5 Female Tri-colored Blackbirds off the boardwalk at MLK Shoreline
Ruddy Turnstone along the Bay Trail in San Lorenzo
    Merlin at Hayward Shoreline
Bonaparte's Gull at Coyote Hills in furthest north pond
Ross's Goose at Alameda Creek, west of the 880 (same one we saw a couple
    weeks ago)
6 Say's Phoebes in various locations
