This morning, between 8:45 and around 10, I birded Redwood Regional,
entering the park at Redwood Gate. I heard several Varied Thrush
along the Stream Trail. The one bird I observed at relatively close
range was perched on the limb of one of the bay trees on the side of
the trail opposite the stream. The other birds I heard were along the
same thickly forested hillside. The segment of trail I covered is
from the first parking lot on the left after entering the park to the
    Fern Dell picnic area.

Other species, including Fox Sparrow and Hermit Thrush, were active
and easily viewable. At the park office, a flock of Pine Siskin
    circled overhead.

    Good birding,
