Hi all,

With the recent rains, the Pleasanton Fresh Water Detention Ponds (at Valley Ave and Laguna Creek Ln)?have begun?to fill and attract birds again.

Of note the past two weeks has been an increasing number of WILSON?S SNIPE. Late this afternoon I counted 23. This is similar to last year?s pattern that began with a few birds in early November, reached numbers as high as 34 from mid-November through most of February, and then gradually tapered off through the end of March.
