[EBB Sightings] Hayward Shoreline (10/09 and 10/12)

Seen both days at the shoreline -

Common Loon - 1 seen from Hayward's Landing on 10/12. This is the earliest in fall that I have seen this species.

Merlin - 1 prairie Merlin seen on 10/12 was not an adult male. Only the fourth time I have seen this sub-species.

Pectoral Sandpiper - 1 seen at Frank's Dump West on 10/12.

Short-eared Owl - 1 seen in flight over Ora Loma Marsh. I have only seen 4 others earlier in the fall.
