    Hi East Bay Birders:

This afternoon I saw two Brandt's Cormorants at the Berkeley Pier. I
was able to observe them for about 45 minutes as they swam most of the
length of the pier. They dove constantly and stayed along the north
side. I got a few photos.

Later I went to Cesar Chavez Park and saw the Burrowing Owl reported
earlier today by Bob Battagin but didn't see Wilson's Snipe. There
was a Loggerhead Shrike in the large grassy area, possibly the same
bird reported last week from the Berkeley Meadow.

    Good birding.
