This morning about 8:30 I finally saw the Northern Waterthrush that eluded
me last winter. Thanks to Joe Devine's report Tuesday. The bird was in the
thicket in the Northeast corner of the southern pond at Berkley Aquatic
Park. Not one of my favorite places to bird but I had great views of the
bird. The bird gave his location away with the loud calls following pishing.

Later at Berkley Marina I had a intergrade Northern Flicker in the trees at
the north end of the parking lot at His Lordships. This male showed red
malar and nice yellow wing and tail shafts. Also Red-breasted Nuthatches
    called frequently from the pines.

Next in Joaquin Miller Park I found Golden-crowned Kinglet's, Pine Siskin
and Red-breasted Nuthatches at three locations Roberts, Arena and Chabot
Space & Science parking lot. I looked hard for Hermit Warbler but found only
    Townsends Warblers.

At Redwood Regional Park I had a Varied Thrush at Old Church picnic area.
    Good birding.
