At 12:45 p.m., after my husband and I left the park and following a
very brief scan, I spotted the Prairie Falcon hunting over the field
south of the Patterson Ranch Road entrance to the park and west of
Paseo Padre Parkway (in the same general area where the bird was
observed initially by Stephanie Floyd and subsequently by Stephanie
again and others). The falcon landed on a short post at the base of
the electrical tower closest to the intersection of Kaiser and Paseo
Padre, near where we were standing. It then took off and headed
steadily south, flying low. I was able to follow the bird in the
scope, which allowed a good views of the key characteristics.

Just earlier, within the park, we saw the following in the butterfly
    garden: a Fox Sparrow, a Swainson's Thrush, a Warbling Vireo, a
Winter Wren, and several Golden-crowned Sparrows mixing with the
    White-crowned.

Outside the garden to the north, I looked for the Black-and-white
Warbler in the oak trees. I did not find it but did see a Black-
    throated Gray Warbler, a Townsend's Warbler, a Ruby-crowned Kinglet,
and a Yellow Warbler. On the ground, near the base of the hill, was a
    Hermit Thrush.
