[EBB Sightings] Hayward Shoreline (09/28)

Seen at the shoreline today - 

Golden-Plover sp. - 1 flyby, species unknown.

Pacific-slope Flycatcher - 1 at Winton Ave.

Bewick's Wren - 2 at/near Winton Ave.

Orange-crowned Warbler - 4 at/near Winton Ave.

Virginia's Warbler - 1 found by Kathy Roberson late in the day at Winton Ave. This is the third county and the third shoreline record. The others were 9-20-1996 and 9-19-2006.

Yellow Warbler - many were seen.

Yellow-rumped Warbler - many were seen but not as many as Yellow Warbler.

Common Yellowthroat - 3 at/near Winton Ave.

Wilson's Warbler - 1 at Winton Ave.

Clay-colored sparrow - 2 at Winton Ave. The first one had no tail and the second one (with a tail) was seen by John Luther late in the afternoon.

Brewer's Sparrow - 1 seen along the base of Mt. Trashmore near the northeast corner.
