[EBB Sightings] Hooded Orioles at Temescal

Dear EBBers;

Lake Temescal was distinctly unbirdy today, until...heading back to the car along the south side of the lake, a female Hooded Oriole was feeding a begging juvenile near the fruit-laden elderberry shrubs.  They were in an oak near the creek, and quite visible for 15 minutes.  The elderberries and plum trees are covered in fruit, and it was interesting to observe House Finches and Bushtits taking little tiny bites from the plums.
