[EBB Sightings] Burrowing Owl and 500 Canada Geese, Ohlone College

This morning, 8/8/08, the Burrowing Owl was seen on the grass berm along Cherry Street in Newark in front of the new Ohlone College Campus. There were also at least 500 Canada Geese in the freshly harvested grain field south of the college near the intersection with Stevenson. The geese are feeding on waste grain in the morning and can be seen resting in the practice athletic fields across the street at Newark Memorial High School.
