[EBB Sightings] Hayward Shoreline (08/04)

Seen today at the shoreline - 

Common Murre - 5. 1 imm. seen just north of Johnson's. 1 imm. seen just off Hayward's Landing. 1 adult 100 yards north of there. 1 imm. less than 100 yards north of there. Finally 1 imm. seen just ofshore from Frank's Dump West. I went with Peter into Cogswell Marsh from about 3:30 - 4:00 and saw 3 Common Murre in the marsh, 1 adult and 2 immatures. They were probably part of the 5 seen earlier. I have only seen Common Murre 24 times at the shoreline and only once before this year (Oct 25,1994) was more than 1 seen.

Frank's Dump West had the usual shorebirds, with Red Knots being in larger numbers than before.
